Do You Still Believe?

Updated: Sep 13

We pray for God’s Will. What does that mean? Not ours. He knows far more than we do and goes about things in ways we cannot understand. Sometimes we have to go through fire, but He’s with us in the fire. Maybe that is what is necessary in our walk with Him. That’s what it’s about—our walk with Him. It’s about that relationship. It’s about relying on Him—no one else. When it comes down to it, He is all we have, and He is all we need. God is faithful

He doesn’t walk out on us when we fail. He watches over us—protecting us from things we cannot even see. We must trust in Him. It will be hard, but He will help us. It’s dark—it’s so dark that we cannot see, but God can and God is there—even when we do not feel or see Him. Remember this.

I think of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. God literally walked with them through fire—fire so hot that it killed the guards outside the furnace, but it did not even singe the clothing of these three God-fearing men, and He was with them in the fire.

My brother Christopher and I watched a movie called, “I Still Believe”. It was hard to watch, but so encouraging at the same time. This is based on the true story of Jeremy Camp and his journey. It really spoke to me. We have so many questions, and we won't always get the answers here.

Do you still believe? Do you still believe even when you can't see? That's what faith is: being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you cannot see (Hebrews 11:1). You might be angry that God didn't heal someone, but He does heal—sometimes on this earth and sometimes not until Heaven, but life is more than what we see.

If our story can touch even just one other person and point them to Christ, then it's worth all the suffering we may endure. When you come to the darkest place, can you say, “I still believe?” We must trust Him even when we cannot see and do not understand. It's worth it. Life with Him is far greater than life without Him. There is a bigger picture. What we see is only a drop in the ocean compared to what God sees. Trust Him.
