This is my first Thanksgiving as a wife and my husband Daniel and I are in Michigan visiting family for the holiday. My sister Kaelyn and I spent the morning and afternoon in the kitchen preparing for the upcoming dinner that takes place each year at my grandpa's house.
When we got to Granddad's house, my little cousin jumped up and down in excitement to see us. After setting out the rest of the food, Daniel prayed and we all filled our plates.
This year I'm especially thankful for my marriage. I am so blessed to have Daniel in my life. (The little pilgrim is my family's dog Emma.)
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, but it is something we should do daily for God is worthy. Have you ever stopped to count your blessings? If you started now and listed every single blessing from God, your list would be unending and you would probably also find that God is on the top of that list. God is our greatest blessing.
“My Greatest Blessing”
God, I’ve walked some rocky pathways
And I don’t always know what to do
But in the midst of the storm, I remember
The one who holds me together is you
Looking back, I see the valleys
That you have brought me through
I see answered prayers and miracles
That only you could do
Lord, I don’t know what’ll come tomorrow
But I know your word is true
And when I count my blessings
The greatest one is you
